I have surprised myself finishing the Book – Starfish Pickle within two days of my packed schedule! I want to dive along with the commercial diver Ms. Tara Salgaonkar to pretend every bit about her and this book is real.

I easily slipped into the realms of this read, specially because I’m a localite of Saligao, (Tara’s village) and there is another level to read plots around ones own village. It has the pinch of stories about the roads and the village ghosts and so on that truly added to the realness of it. I could clearly see the incidents happening just in the vicinity of my residence. I even went out to see Tara hiring the old Grandfatherly looking Pilot at the Saligao Tito, with whom I too have taken rides over the years. I could hear the Goan dialects quite naturally.
